Wish the Donald had enough brains to be scared

Really appreciated www.dailykos.com/…’s diary, “Ah-Hah has arrived”—I wouldn’t say “enjoyed,” it’s not that sort of a diary.  Too personal, drawing too much on real, painful times.  But a great read, and expresses the reason, I believe, so many have come appreciate HRC (at all, in some cases, but) more during this interminable election season.  She seems to be a worker, the sort who looks at the task at hand and sets about doing it, with little regard for the light it will throw on her (sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad.)

I appreciated the writing, but having read a dozen or so accounts of HRC’s and DJT’s respective preparation methods for Sunday’s debate, the nucleus of essay formed, but it was only upon seeing the picture accompanying it that I decided I would type out a few words.

I won’t preach to this congregation about DJT’s wholly unacceptability for the office of POTUS—I regard that as given, the same way I regard the proportion of polling his favor a national disgrace, with respect to critical thinking; race, religious, and international relations; climate change consciousness; …  Rather, what I speak to is continuing the (better late than never) trend we’ve seen, starting with the first debate, of HRC starting to increase her lead over the human dumpster.

As a statistician (no big surprise, given the handle,) I follow 538 somewhat obsessively (can one be somewhat obsessive?) and REALLY was growing nervous prior to the first debate.  I was unsurprised by the outcome, but it was the days immediately following that were so nice—that the seed (time-delayed fuse?) planted by Hillary about Machado worked exactly as she and her campaign had planned.  And had worked, as recognized by folks on this site, for the lionizing of Kizr and Ghazala Khan for their son’s sacrifice contrasted with DJT’s life of empty promises and parasitic behavior.

So, about the title of the diary—I do wish the Donald were a little bit smarter.  Because if he were and he saw the picture of HRC quietly preparing for the next debate, the soundtrack for his 3 a.m. tweeting would be the Jaws theme song.
