The week we’ve been waiting for is finally here! We Hillary folks have soldiered through our string of (expected) losses, and Tuesday is the day that New York finally has their say. Although Hillary is favored, we definitely can’t take anything for granted (plus, wouldn’t a double-digit blowout be nice?). Here’s how you can help bring this thing home:
Find (or host!) events in your area
Phone bank from home — Tip: NY has been an absolute blast to phone bank, and anecdotally, others on Twitter have reported the same. Lots and lots of enthusiastic, committed supporters on the other end of the line. If you haven’t phone banked before and are a little nervous about trying it out, NY would be a great place to start.
Volunteer in your area — Head over to the events page on the official campaign website and put in your zipcode to find volunteer opportunities. Also as a tip, many states also have a more informal FB page where they’ll post about grassroots, on-the-ground events, and it’s much easier (and faster) to deal with than the official website. NY’s is here. If you know where your local campaign office is, drop in anytime during the day and they’ll be happy to put you to work.
If you’re already volunteering, especially for NY, tell us all about it below! Any good stories from this week? Tips or encouragement you’d like to share with those who are thinking about getting involved but haven’t taken the plunge yet? Take it away!
