I think that at this point it is safe to say that Donald Trump’s campaign is not a campaign at all. At least by any modern measures of what constitutes a Presidential Campaign. It is more like bad performance art. I can envision a thousand titles for that exhibit but none of them would be Presidential Campaign.
The folks over at Politico did a survey among 100 100 each of Democratic and Republican Operatives that focused on the questions of who had the better ground game and organization in their state. The resulting comments from the Republican side is nothing short of hilarious (gag inducing if you are a Republican). The graph at the top of the page says it all: 92% of the Republicans thought that Hillary had a stronger ground game and organization. The only real surprise being the fact that they admitted to it.
What is truly funny are some of the Republican comments from the survey.
“Donald Trump just hired a guy yesterday in Colorado,” said a GOP insider there. “One guy — does that count as an organization?
Here is one from Iowa: “Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush still have better organization here than Donald Trump.”Said one New Hampshire Republican: “Organization? Ground game? Why does Trump need that? It's not like it's a presidential campaign or anything.”
One New Hampshire Republican said the question was like “asking who would win a football game between Alabama and Plymouth State,” comparing Trump to the state’s Division-III team facing the school with the most national championships in the history of college football
