Reality-star and 4-times-bankrupt Daddy’s boy, Donald J. Trump, consistently dredges up long debunked Clinton conspiracy theories. The same sort of conspiracy theories that are currently being circulated about Benghazi and Hillary’s e-mails. I guess Clinton haters didn’t get the hint — the Clintons eat fake scandals for breakfast. Hillary’s brilliant 11-hour Benghazi testimony is the latest proof.
But given Trump’s focus on Bill Clinton’s personal life, he obviously thinks former President Bill Clinton is Hillary’s greatest asset. Probably because Trump admitted the economy was spectacular during the 1990s, and historically does better under Democratic Administrations. Remember that both Republican Administrations [Reagan and Dubya] caused recessions in which Democratic Administrations had to clean up after.

Based on Trump’s continued attacks on Bill Clinton’s personal life, he knows Americans have nostalgia regarding the 1990s Clinton economy. Trump also knows nostalgia works as evidenced by his “Make America Great Again” slogan — a slogan rooted in the power of “white man” nostalgia.

If Trump, the candidate relying on 1950s nostalgia [“Make America WHITE/RACIST/SEXIST Again”] is dead-set on tainting what he views as Hillary’s biggest asset —Clinton nostalgia— I think it’s time to take a trip down memory lane:

ABC News | 1992 | Footage of President Clinton’s Victory Speech:
Commentator #1 @ 1:50 (when they do a close-up on Hillary):
“Hillary Clinton. The first First Lady with a post-graduate degree.”Commentator #2:
“She has a law degree.”President-elect Bill Clinton @ 4:33:
“I want to begin this night by thanking my family. My wife, without whom I would not be here tonight. And who I believe will be one of the greatest First Lady’s in the history of this Republic.”:::Crowd goes wild. Bill smiles and looks at Hillary. Grabs her hand and holds it in the air. Crowd starts going even more wild and starts chanting: “HILLARY!” HILLARY!”“HILLARY!”:::
Bill endearingly says with a smile, “You can cheer for her.”
Commentator towards the end @ 29:31:
“Going to say, that both Governor and Misses Clinton, in this campaign, you know, they were hit with everything short of a tire-iron. They took an awful lot during the campaign. Everybody who ran in this race took a lot. But no more than those two people who are weaving and waving, right now, as the victors.”
Say what you want about the Clintons, but they are strong, smart, and resilient.

Here is some of what two pragmatic fighters did in the 1990s by investing in education, healthcare, women, and children:
We had a chance to continue the Clintons progress with Al Gore in 2000. Unfortunately, too many fell for the Nader trap, turning their backs on President Clinton’s Vice President. If only a fraction of Nader voters had been for Gore, Florida wouldn’t have been a toss-up. Don’t think there is a difference between Democrats and Republicans? Just think where our country would be if we had continued the Clintons progress with Al Gore.
Let’s not make the same mistake again. Let’s build on Obama’s progress with the Clintons. And please don’t turn your backs on the Clintons again by forgetting who the real enemy is. Seriously — look what happened with Bush.

Let us remember the Clintons had to work within the context and culture of the 1990s. Yet they still succeeded on many progressive levels despite dealing with an obstructionist GOP Congress. They also succeeded despite witch-hunt after witch-hunt, proving no one can fight the GOP better than the Clintons can.
Now, more than ever, we desperately need two fighters back in the White House. And one of these fighters, Bill Clinton, came from a small town in Arkansas called “Hope”:
Bill’s Father died at an early age, which resulted in Bill having to live with his Grandparents. His Grandfather ran a small country store. Eventually, though, Bill’s Mother was able to take control of her own life as a result of our country investing in her through education and healthcare — healthcare that saved his Mother’s life from cancer.
“That’s why I’m so committed to make sure every American gets the healthcare that saved my Mother’s life. And that women’s healthcare gets the same attention as men’s.”
~Bill Clinton
That isn’t a “hand-out” according to Bill. That was our country empowering its people and giving its people the tools they need to take control of their own lives. Ladders of oppurtunity that allowed for a man named Bill Clinton, born into a poor, widowed household, to become President of the United States. The very embodiment of the American dream. How our country SHOULD be operating.
After graduating Yale Law School, people thought Hillary was crazy to follow this Bill Clinton fellow to Arkansas, especially considering a promising legal career was waiting for her in Washington. But after falling in love with this strong, kind-hearted man from “Hope” Arkansas, she insisted she had met the next President of the United States. She knew they could change the world. Together. Side-by-side. Two kids working their way from the very bottom to the very top.
“I noticed that he kept looking over at me. He had been doing that a lot. So I stood up from the desk, walked over to him and said, ‘If you’re going to keep looking at me, and I’m going to keep looking back, we might as well be introduced. I’m Hillary Rodham.’ That was it. The way Bill tells the story, he couldn’t remember his own name.“ ~Hillary Rodham Clinton

Hillary followed Bill to Arkansas, becoming the breadwinner of their family so Bill could run for Governor. Once Bill became Governor, as First Lady of Arkansas, Hillary reformed education, healthcare, the foster care system, worked for the Children’s Defense Fund, provided legal services to poor and underprivileged families, and taught parents how to be their children’s first advocates. The joke in Arkansas was that they “hired the wrong Clinton.”
Hillary knew the importance of investing in women and children due to her Mother being abandoned by her parents at an early age. And Bill’s personal story regarding his widowed Mother is proof of Hillary’s larger point, a point she has been making ever since her days as First Lady of Arkansas: children’s issues and women’s issues are critical to the health and success of our nation. And none other than her husband, President Bill Clinton, is the proof.

Reigniting the American Dream for all Americans, something both Bill and Hillary Clinton embody, is something he and Hillary worked every single day to give back to all Americans throughout the 1990s. So when Trump says “Make America Great Again,” think back to what the Clintons did in 1990s. And think how much more they can do now in 21st Century America if we give them the chance to build on Obama’s progress.

Personally, I want the Clintons back in the White House — investing in me. Investing in the American people. Investing in families like the one that allowed Bill Clinton to become President of the United States. Investing in the things Hillary has advocated for throughout her entire career.
On the contrary, we have Trump who embodies exactly what is wrong with America: the idea that one man is entitled to excessive wealth due to profiting off the misfortunate of others, family inheritance, screwing people over, and immoral Chapter 11 bankruptcy laws.
The Clintons, on the other hand, worked their way from the very bottom to the very top of the American political system. The Clintons, not Trump, embody the American dream. And the Clintons already made“America Great Again” during the 1990s. And not just for white men, either. Everyone did better under the Clinton economy.

Bill Clinton invested in the American people because he came from a widowed, single Mother household. Trump will simply invest in what has made him rich: the idea that greed is good, rich people should pay nothing in taxes, and that slave labor is necessary for the sake of making money.
America shouldn’t be about greed. America should be about building ladders of oppurtunity and creating the American dream for everyone.
This debate moment proved to many Americans that Bill Clinton cared about them:
I could listen to Bill Clinton speak for hours! He inspires me just as Hillary does. I want both of them back in the White House. And to be honest — my life was better in the 1990s.
When Trump says “Make America Great Again” — well, America was great for a lot of Americans during the 1990s. 22 million new jobs, a balanced budget, and a surplus. Of course Republicans won’t give President Clinton credit — but all President’s deserve credit for the economy they presided over. All income levels grew under President Clinton because he invested in education, women, and children. As First Lady, Hillary helped create and pass the Children’s Health Insurance Program, giving 8 million children health insurance.

The Clintons are the exception to the rule that politicians are all talk and no action. As Hillary said — she is a progressive, but a progressive that likes to get things done. The Clintons are pragmatic and fighters. And they inspire us to realize that though we all have our faults, the human spirit is resilient. Both Bill and Hillary worked their way from the bottom up. Together. Side-by-side. And they’ll stand by each other until the very end.
“I’ve been called many things by many people. Quitter’s not one of them!”
~Hillary Rodham Clinton
Say whatever you want about them — but the Clintons are strong, smart, and two people I want to lead our country again. Their resilience and determination is unparalleled.
Here is Bill defending Hillary against Jerry Brown (a must-watch):
Bill Clinton:
“You ought to be ashamed of yourself for jumping on my wife Hillary!”
“Jerry comes here with his family wealth and fifteen hundred dollar suit.”
I hope Bill rips Donald Trump for being born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Destroying this “self-made-man” image is Trump’s weakness. His achilles heel.
Mr. Trump inherited his success from his family wealth, unlike the Clintons who built their success side-by-side, dating back to their days at Yale Law and Hillary’s work at the Children’s Defense Fund. Trump was born on third base but thinks he hit a triple. The Clintons, not Trump, embody the American dream of working your way from the bottom to the top [and they are the only couple that has ever had a chance of reaching the top twice].

Bill and Hillary Clinton have seen the power of the Presidency. And they want it again. And this time, they are ready to fully embrace and fight for progressive values in the 21st Century. The GOP has fought and failed to stop them, creating “scandal” after “scandal” since the early 1990s. Yet Bill and Hillary Clinton remain survivors of it all and can withstand the Tea Party infested waters of Washington. There’s no two people better equipped to take on the current GOP. And hopefully — the Clinton Machine will finally dismantle and destroy it. Republicans don’t hate the Clintons for nothing!
President Clinton gives Hillary a shout-out for her lifelong work regarding children:
“When I first met her 30 years ago, she already had an abiding passion to help children. She’s pursued it ever since. Her first job was with the Children’s Defense Fund. Every year I was Governor she took lots of time away from her law practice to work for better schools, children’s health and jobs for parents who lived in poor areas. When I became President she became a full- time advocate for her lifetime cause. What a job she’s done. She championed the Family Leave law, children’s health insurance, and increased support for foster children and adoptions. She wrote a best–selling book about caring for our children, and then she took care of them by giving all the profits to children’s charities. For thirty years, she’s been there for all our kids. She’s been a great First Lady. She’s always been there for our family. And she’ll always be there for the families of New York and America.” ~President Bill Clinton

Bill tells America the story of his working Mother and the tragedy of losing his Father at an early age. He also gives a special shout-out to Hillary:
VIDEO @ 11:17:
“I learned a lot from another person too: a person who for more than 20 years has worked hard to help our children, paying the price of time to make sure our schools don't fail them. Someone who traveled our state for a year, studying, learning, listening, going to PTA meetings, school board meetings, town hall meetings, putting together a package of school reforms recognized around the Nation, and doing it all while building a distinguished legal career and being a wonderful, loving mother.
That person is my wife.
Hillary taught me. She taught me that all children can learn and that each of us has a duty to help them do it.
So if you want to know why I care so much about our children, and our future, it all started with Hillary. I love you.”
~Bill Clinton

When Donald Trump says “Make America Great Again,” he is referring to rich, white men like himself staying in power and a place of privilege. The way America used to be back in the “good ol’ days.” This appeals to angry, disenfranchised, poor, white men. Trump is exploiting them for power and they don’t even realize it.
When Bill Clinton said he wanted to “Make America Great Again,” he not only accomplished his goal, but he “made America great again” for the vast majority of Americans. Not just rich white men like Trump.
Hillary will do the same by investing in the same issues the Clintons invested in during the 1990s. The same issues Hillary has fought for her entire career — issues that help women, children, families, the under-privileged — the middle-class.
The Clintons are ready to fight 100% for progressive values in the 21st Century. And if there’s anything we’ve learned about the Clintons in the last 30 years, it’s that you want them fighting for you.
Let’s “Make America Great Again” by electing another Clinton!

—Incomes rising at every level
—More Americans lifted out of poverty than at any time in U.S. history
