Evening Live Blog For Hillary Supporters!
A Place to Come Together and Discuss the Days Events!
Hillary has now won five out of the last six states; New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware. Congratulations to Senator Sanders on winning Rhode Island. Next stop is Indiana, which has 83 delegates. At this point Hillary has 89% of the delegates. With this almost insurmountable lead, Hillary has pivoted to the general election.
From Hillary’s speech last night. It’s a general election speech.
Now, with your help, we’re going to come back to Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention with the most votes and the most pledged delegates and we will unify our party to win this election and build an America where we can all rise together – an America where we lift each other up instead of tearing each other down.
As usual Hillary mentions people she has met during her campaign, in her speech.
Listen to the nurse I met this weekend in New Haven, Connecticut, who worked for years to build a middle-class life and raise a family. But then, her luck changed. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and used up all her savings and her sick time. Soon, she was facing foreclosure and the prospect of losing the home she’d loved for more than 20 years. And here’s what she said to me: 'My daughter and I live in fear of the day that we might come home and have a lock on the door… We’re in pain. We’re hurting… We were, and are, the backbone of this country – the middle class. We’re not asking for a handout. We just want to be treated fairly.'
Hillary on Senator Sanders
Because whether you support Senator Sanders or you support me, there’s much more that unites us than divides us. We all agree that wages are too low and inequality is too high. That Wall Street can never again be allowed to threaten Main Street. And we should expand Social Security, not cut or privatize it...
So we will build on a strong progressive tradition from Franklin Roosevelt to Barack Obama. And I applaud Senator Sanders and his millions of supporters for challenging us to get unaccountable money out of our politics and giving greater emphasis to closing the gap of inequality. And I know, together, we will get that done.
Sanders sent out a memo last night, which most people interpreted to be a concession. In the memo, Sanders says he will stay in until the convention, to try and get as many delegates as possible, so he can try and influence the Democratic platform. We will see today, how his campaign reacts. Will he stop attacking Hillary or will it be same as usual. Our focus should now be on Donald Trump, we can’t let this man near the Oval Office.
Let’s go forward. Let’s win the nomination and in July let’s return as a unified party.

Update:
Sanders has not changed his view on the race. In an interview with this morning with Chris Jansing. Sanders says he is not giving up, he still thinks he can win the nomination. Sanders still believes he can win more delegates. He is still saying that the polls (National Polls) favor him and that he is the stronger candidate to run in the general election. He thinks that the super delegates should support him. Sanders says there is still a narrow path to victory and hopes to be the nominee. Sanders says he isn’t giving Trump any ammunition against Hillary; simply not true. Trump is already using Sanders words against Hillary.
Well, that didn’t last long. GOTV.
Also today, the Sanders campaign said it would be laying off hundred’s of staff workers and focus on California.
Bernie Sanders to Cut Hundreds of Staff Members and Turn to California
When you look at the pictures in this thread, you see Hillary with people from all walks of life. Contrary to what the other side says, Hillary appeals to a wide range of people, including young adults. You see how the young children gravitate to her, and she is great with them.

She may not have large rallies; she rather meet with people first hand and really get to know them, you can’t do that at a large rally. When you actually hear a person concerns and can talk with them, face to face, not at them, that is when you win votes. Remember Hillary has 12,134,757 total votes, Sanders has 8,967,842; Hillary is now +3,166,915 over Sanders and 2,078,915 more votes than Trump. Hillary’s message is working.
We need to continue to get Hillary’s message out. We need to GOTV, we have a general Election Win.
There are still primary's left, so it’s still important to GOTV. There are several ways we can help. Click on the links in this thread, to see what you can do.

Please don’t feed the trolls. That’s what they want, (they leave nasty stuff behind when you do) and we don’t want to have to clean it up. Their goal is to disrupt the thread. Lets not let that happen.
